Buzz Aldrin — Signed Apollo 11 NASA Photo
Double-Sided 8" × 10" — Official Portrait & Iconic Moonwalk Visor Photograph
JSA Authenticated · Silver Foil Edition · Acrylic Magnetic Display
What You Are Getting
This is an authentic double-sided 8" × 10" color photograph personally hand-signed by Colonel Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. — Apollo 11 Lunar Module Pilot and the second human being to walk on the surface of the Moon. The signature is executed in bold blue paint pen across the front portrait and is accompanied by a full JSA Certificate of Authenticity (serial AT70635).
The photograph features a premium silver foil-embossed "Apollo 11 Buzz Aldrin" title treatment in the upper-left of the front image — a hallmark of Aldrin's licensed signing line — producing a striking contrast between the metallic title, the blue signature, and the NASA portrait. The rear of the photograph displays the second most important image of the Apollo 11 mission: NASA AS11-40-5903, the famous "Visor" portrait of Aldrin standing on the lunar surface, with Neil Armstrong reflected in his gold sun visor.
The piece is housed in a magnetic clear-acrylic display frame that showcases both sides of the photograph without obstruction — ideal for desk, shelf, or display case presentation. It is ready to display or gift exactly as received.

About the Photograph
The Front — Apollo 11 Official Portrait. The front image is the definitive NASA crew portrait of Buzz Aldrin taken prior to the Apollo 11 mission. Shot in NASA's Houston photographic studio in 1969, this image shows Aldrin in his Apollo A7L extravehicular pressure suit with the American flag patch, NASA "meatball" insignia, "ALDRIN" name tape, pressure connectors, and silver Chromel-R lunar gloves — the exact configuration he wore during his moonwalk. The silver foil "Apollo 11 Buzz Aldrin" metallic title treatment creates a premium presentation that has become synonymous with Aldrin's licensed signing output.
The Reverse — The Visor Photograph. The rear of the photograph carries NASA image AS11-40-5903 — shot by Neil Armstrong on July 20, 1969, during the first human moonwalk. Widely regarded as the most iconic photograph ever taken in space history, it captures Aldrin standing on the Sea of Tranquility, with Armstrong, the Lunar Module Eagle, and the American flag reflected in the gold Sun visor of Aldrin's helmet. The photograph has appeared on the cover of Life Magazine, U.S. postage stamps, textbooks, monuments, and continues to serve as the visual shorthand for the Apollo program worldwide.
Having both images on a single authenticated, Aldrin-signed photograph creates a rare dual-display piece: the man, and the moment, side by side.
About Buzz Aldrin
Colonel Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. (b. 1930) is a former United States Air Force fighter pilot, a decorated Korean War combat veteran with 66 combat missions flown, a Doctor of Science in Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a NASA astronaut selected in the third astronaut group in 1963. His doctoral thesis on orbital rendezvous earned him the call-sign "Dr. Rendezvous" within the astronaut corps.
On July 20, 1969, as Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo 11, Aldrin became the second human to walk on the surface of the Moon, following Neil Armstrong by approximately nineteen minutes. He spent more than two hours outside the Eagle lander, deploying the Solar Wind Composition experiment, collecting lunar samples, planting the American flag, and capturing photographs that would define the visual record of the mission.
Aldrin was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Richard Nixon and has remained one of the most visible and tireless advocates for space exploration in the decades since Apollo. He is a New York Times bestselling author, a vocal proponent of crewed Mars missions, and an enduring figure across aerospace, science, and popular culture.
