Summary

Endless Wave is a 2016 hand-pulled six-color screen print in black, blue, gold, aqua, red and pink on 100% cotton Somerset satin 410gsm, hand-deckled by the artists. Large at 100 x 100 cm (39.37 x 39.37 inches) in an edition of just 40, it renders the duo's signature wave motif at monumental scale.

Why It Matters

As one of the earliest works in this index, Endless Wave shows Kai & Sunny's wave language already fully developed at large scale. The six-color palette including gold adds warmth and depth, and with only 40 impressions at a meter square, it stands among the scarcer and more ambitious early editions.

Collector Perspective

An edition of 40 at 100 x 100 cm places this firmly in scarce, statement-piece territory. The inclusion of gold ink adds a subtle metallic dimension best judged in person. Large-format care applies: preserve the deckled edge and margins, and verify the numbering given the small run.

Historical Context

Dated 2016, Endless Wave is among the earlier pieces in this group and demonstrates the duo's established wave motif on their heaviest Somerset stock. It anchors the recurring wave theme that runs through later works like Wave Blend and Crossed Wave.
