A rare and striking Farquhar Transparent Celestial Globe (Farquhar Transparent Globes, Philadelphia, PA) — a mid-century clear acrylic star globe with a small printed terrestrial Earth globe suspended at its center. The transparent outer sphere maps the entire celestial sphere: constellations, named stars with light-year distances, the ecliptic and months of the year, and the Milky Way. A genuine piece of astronomy and celestial-navigation history and a stunning decorative object.
