Angels & Airwaves — “Valkyrie Missile: A Brighter Tomorrow”

The visual composition fits the song beautifully.

We Don’t Need to Whisper represented a major creative reset for Tom DeLonge following his first departure from Blink-182.

Rather than recreating Blink-182 or Box Car Racer, DeLonge assembled Angels & Airwaves with David Kennedy, Ryan Sinn and Atom Willard and pursued a substantially more atmospheric and cinematic sound. The debut album ultimately reached No. 4 on the U.S. album chart, according to historical chart data.

“Valkyrie Missile” was where listeners first encountered that vision.
