Jackson Pollock Studio and MY FIRST BE@RBRICK compared

October 18, 2026

“Pollock BE@RBRICK” is too broad a name for a precise collecting target. Medicom has used Jackson Pollock Studio wording across different releases, including a Studio Ver.2.0 set and a MY FIRST BE@RBRICK B@BY crossover. The artist reference connects them; the full product names distinguish them.

The BE@RBRICK Master Index lets you hold those identities side by side. Start by deciding whether you want a particular Studio version or a collection spanning different product families.

Two names, two reference records

The Studio Ver.2.0 announcement specifies a 100% and 400% set, approximately 70 and 280 mm tall. Its wording identifies a different-pattern version, with planned release and shipment in September 2018. The quoted distribution price is ¥12,000 before tax.

The MY FIRST Pollock Studio announcement also specifies a 100% and 400% set. It adds MY FIRST BE@RBRICK B@BY naming, credits CHIAKI (CIROL & Co.), and gives an October 2021 planned release with a ¥17,600 tax-included quote.

These announcements support a comparison of product identity and original purchase terms. They do not establish a resale ranking, a production quantity, or the relative scarcity of surviving examples.

Decide what connects your collection

An artist-reference collection can include both sets because the Studio connection is your organizing idea. A MY FIRST collection has a narrower boundary: the B@BY wording becomes part of the inclusion rule. Neither approach requires calling every Pollock-related product the same edition.

That choice also changes your search. For the narrower target, use the MY FIRST record and retain B@BY in your seller queries. For the Studio version, keep “Ver.2.0” attached to the reference. A seller’s abbreviated description may omit the very words that explain why you want the figure.

If your interest is the surface treatment, compare the official product images and photographs of the offered object. Do not assign an exact painting title merely because a seller describes a Pollock pattern that way. The manufacturer’s Studio wording is the supported starting point.

Keep the design credit with its release

The CHIAKI credit on the MY FIRST announcement is useful because it belongs to that specific product context. Preserve it in your research without extending the credit to every figure returned by a Pollock search. Credits should follow the release that supplies them.

You can make a small comparison card with four lines: full title, product family, original configuration, and source link. Add your preferred display format in a separate note. This keeps a collecting choice visible while leaving the manufacturer’s facts intact.

When reviewing an offer, match the intended family before comparing the price. A similarly named bear at a lower amount may be a different target rather than a cheaper example of the same one. Check whether both sizes are included if your target is the complete set.

The useful connection between these releases is specific: shared Studio wording across distinct named products. Keeping both halves of that description allows a collection to have a coherent theme without losing the differences that make each acquisition identifiable.
