The Rogue One Darth Vader BE@RBRICK appears in a 1000% announcement and a separate Chrome 1000% announcement. Holding the size and film-version wording constant makes the added treatment label the central identity difference in this comparison.
Keep both source records. A seller’s shortened “Rogue One Vader 1000%” description leaves the treatment unresolved.
Establish the two references
Medicom’s Rogue One 1000% page specifies an approximately 700 mm figure, a ¥37,000 before-tax quote, and a July 22, 2017 planned release in the context of that year’s exhibition.
The Chrome 1000% page specifies the same approximate height, a ¥85,800 tax-included quote, and a July 22, 2021 planned release tied to Medicom’s 25th-anniversary exhibition. Chrome is explicit in this later product title.
Here, “standard” is simply a convenient label for the cited title without Chrome wording. It should not replace the complete official name in a collection inventory or imply a technical material specification the announcement does not provide.
Keep treatment evidence with the item
Use the earlier reference and the Chrome reference in the BE@RBRICK Master Index. Save the relevant detail link with a seller inquiry and ask for the actual packaging and object views.
The source photos can help you identify the treatment you intend to collect. They are reference images, not photographs of the particular resale object. Keep the two image sets separate when recording a purchase decision.
A Chrome title does not establish a solid-chrome or all-metal body. A shared Rogue One name does not establish that the two releases are identical except for one manufacturing process. Such technical claims require more specific evidence.
A same-size comparison still needs purchase context
Both announcements identify 1000%, but their original quotes use different tax treatments and come from different announcement periods. The numerical difference is not a measured return on one unchanged item.
If you want a current market comparison, gather dated offers or completed transactions for the exact treatment and comparable condition. The original Japanese quote remains useful historical context, while the new evidence answers a different question.
For a display decision, obtain actual dimensions and packaging information. The approximate 700 mm height is not a complete description of the footprint, doorway clearance, or storage requirement. The gallery’s 1000% inspection article addresses the broader buying process.
The anniversary and exhibition references also do not supply a numerical edition size. Preserve the named context without converting it into a production count or an automatic rarity premium.
You can prefer either treatment for visual reasons, or collect both as a focused Rogue One pairing. Label the decision as your collecting choice and retain the full release references. That keeps a familiar character and identical nominal size from obscuring two separately documented products.
