MY FIRST BE@RBRICK is product-family wording in these announcements. It should remain in the reference title rather than being read as a statement that the figure is intended to be every collector’s first purchase.
Blue Sky, Black & White, and Black & White Chrome show why the rest of the name matters as well. Closely related color wording can still identify separate releases.
Compare the exact named sets
Medicom’s Blue Sky announcement identifies MY FIRST BE@RBRICK B@BY, a 100% and 400% configuration, November 2023 planned release wording, and a ¥14,300 tax-included quote. It credits CHIAKI (CIROL & Co.) and names Medicom Toy Plus in its sales context.
The Black & White announcement uses December 2024 planned release wording, the same size combination and amount, and the same design credit. The body retains B@BY in the family name.
A separate Black & White Chrome announcement gives April 2022 planned release wording and the same nominal configuration and original amount. Chrome is an explicit part of that version’s title.
Equal quotes do not merge versions
The three original amounts match, but they describe different named announcements. A price is not a release identifier. The version wording and source link need to remain beside it.
Use Blue Sky and Black & White in the BE@RBRICK Master Index to begin a focused shortlist. Add the Chrome record separately if that treatment is part of your collecting plan.
A seller using only “Black & White MY FIRST” leaves the Chrome question unresolved. Ask which source release the offered item matches and request views of the actual object and packaging. Do not infer the treatment from a shortened headline.
The design credit belongs with the announcement that supplies it. Preserve that credit without assuming it establishes every individual production or approval role for every other MY FIRST product in the catalog.
Define a family collection without a completeness claim
You might collect a particular named version, one nominal size across several versions, or complete mixed-size sets. Write that boundary before adding targets. Three researched examples do not establish the entire product family’s history.
If a complete set is your target, confirm both figures in the offer. A loose larger component can still interest you, but its purchase should not be recorded as ownership of the complete original configuration.
The source sales labels also have limited meaning. A store association or limited-sale statement does not supply a numerical edition size, nor does it prove present availability at that store.
Compare the exact official images to choose a treatment, then use the seller’s actual photographs to assess the particular offer. The reference image and the offered object answer different questions.
A precise inventory entry keeps MY FIRST B@BY, the full version wording, and the size configuration together. That makes Blue Sky and the two Black & White references understandable even when a later listing reduces them to a few familiar words.
