Mickey Mouse BE@RBRICKs: B&W 2020 and Future Mickey

October 18, 2026

B&W 2020 and Future Mickey identify different Mickey Mouse BE@RBRICK releases in the same 100% and 400% format. A character collector can connect them without treating one as a generic substitute for the other.

The version wording does useful work. Keep it in your inventory and seller searches, especially when a headline is shortened to “Mickey BE@RBRICK set.”

Start with the two named announcements

Medicom’s B&W 2020 page specifies a mixed-size set, approximately 70 and 280 mm, with July 2020 planned release/shipping wording. The original quote is ¥12,000 before tax.

The Future Mickey page specifies the same nominal size combination and a ¥16,000 before-tax quote. It gives a November 22, 2019 planned release, identifies a 2G-opening context, and connects the product to Mickey’s 90th-anniversary reference.

Those details identify two announcements. The word “Future” is part of a product name here; it should not be interpreted as a promise that the figure belongs to a later release than the B&W 2020 version.

Keep the version year with the source date

For B&W 2020, preserve 2020 in the official version wording even when you add a separate schedule field. In other character releases, a year in the title may have a different job. Reading the source prevents you from treating every title year as a universal release-date rule.

The B&W detail and Future Mickey detail in the BE@RBRICK Master Index provide the exact references for this comparison. Search the distinctive version terms, then confirm the rest of the title.

If you are collecting Mickey across platforms, keep BE@RBRICK in the reference as well. A character and version phrase can appear in broader merchandise searches; it does not identify every object as the same manufactured product.

Choose a collection boundary you can apply

You might collect one version you like, mixed-size Mickey sets, or products connected with a particular event. State that rule in your personal notes. The manufacturer’s release identity can remain unchanged while your reason for collecting it is your own.

If the original set is your target, ask a seller whether both figures are included. A large Mickey shown beside a box does not establish the smaller component’s presence. Save the actual contents description with the offer.

The 2G context gives Future Mickey a documented announcement setting. It does not disclose a production quantity or establish a current rarity premium. Avoid adding a numerical edition count unless a separate reliable source supplies one for that exact product.

The original amounts also need to stay attached to their respective sets. A difference between historical quotes is not evidence that one version appreciated or that a loose component should carry a fixed share of the package price.

Mickey supplies the common character. The full version name and source turn that broad interest into an exact target you can recognize again when the next abbreviated listing appears.
