BAPE × Van Gogh Museum SHARK: Almond Blossom or Sunflowers

October 18, 2026

Almond Blossom SHARK and Sunflowers SHARK combine BAPE, Van Gogh Museum, and BE@RBRICK in two separately named releases. The artwork title differentiates them while the rest of the crossover wording connects them.

For a collector, that creates a focused choice: one named artwork treatment or both documented configurations. It does not require treating either as interchangeable with a Van Gogh-related figure that lacks the BAPE SHARK wording.

Hold the format constant

Medicom’s Almond Blossom SHARK announcement specifies a 100% and 400% set, approximately 70 and 280 mm tall, with June 2026 planned release wording and a ¥24,200 tax-included quote.

The Sunflowers SHARK announcement specifies the same nominal configuration, approximate heights, scheduled month, and original amount. Each is its own named product reference.

Shared identity elements Distinguishing artwork wording
BAPE × Van Gogh Museum, SHARK, 100% and 400% Almond Blossom
BAPE × Van Gogh Museum, SHARK, 100% and 400% Sunflowers

The matching original specifications make this a useful artwork-choice comparison. They do not establish equal present demand, identical production quantities, or a combined purchase containing both sets.

Keep the crossover in an artwork search

Search “Almond Blossom SHARK” or “Sunflowers SHARK” in the BE@RBRICK Master Index, then open the Almond Blossom detail or the Sunflowers detail.

A search using only an artwork name can return a different release family. Keep BAPE and SHARK with the museum reference when matching a seller’s listing. A broad artwork connection is useful for browsing, while the full title identifies your target.

If you also collect other Van Gogh-related BE@RBRICKs, use separate subgroups in your notes. You can connect them through your artwork interest without removing the brand and treatment distinctions that explain the individual products.

Choose the relationship you want to collect

A BAPE collector may approach the artwork versions as part of a SHARK-focused collection. An artwork collector may approach the same releases through the painting names. State that personal organizing idea rather than assuming the manufacturer supplied one mandatory collecting sequence.

Compare official images and actual-item photographs before making a visual choice. The names identify the announced references, but they do not support a detailed claim about how every graphic element is arranged without checking the images.

For original-artwork history, follow the museum’s artwork documentation. A toy announcement can identify a named reference and association; it does not provide a complete provenance or historical analysis of the painting.

If buying both sets, verify each configuration separately. A photograph showing two larger figures does not establish that their smaller counterparts are included. Keep seller-created bundles distinct from the original manufacturer releases.

The full crossover title is the most useful label you can retain. It lets an artwork-led collection and a brand-led collection meet at the same documented product without losing the detail that makes Almond Blossom and Sunflowers different targets.
