The Work
Shepard Fairey's portrait of Bob Dylan pays homage to one of the artist's most cited influences, a musician whose protest songs and restless reinvention shaped Fairey's own sense of art as dissent. Dylan appears in a bold, poster-like composition, his features distilled into the graphic language Fairey draws from vintage propaganda and mid-century record sleeves. Decorative flourishes frame the singer with the reverence of an icon.
Fairey has long connected his visual work to the counterculture soundtrack of the 1960s, and Dylan sits at the center of that mythology. By translating a musical revolutionary into his own printmaking idiom, Fairey collapses the distance between sound and image, positioning Dylan as a fellow agitator whose words disrupted the establishment much as street art disrupts the commercial cityscape.

We photograph each print under consistent lighting to show the actual paper, frame condition, ink saturation, and any aging or edge wear. How is the print packed and shipped?
Prints ship flat between two acid-free rigid boards inside a corrugated outer mailer with rigid corner protection. Larger prints over 24×30 may ship rolled inside a thick-walled tube with archival tissue. All shipments are insured for full value with tracked carrier service. Framed pieces ship in custom-cut wood crates with foam edge protection. Signature on delivery required over $500.
