Work Summary & Collector Notes

Circle is a 2018 skate deck, an eight-color silkscreen on Featherlight 3 dyed veneer in an edition of 75. Part of the duo's four-deck series with Star, Wave and Cross, it was sold as a single deck or within a set of four, reducing Kai & Sunny's vocabulary to a clean elemental symbol.

Collector notes: The saved release record describes: Edition of 75. Edition-specific signature, numbering, and stamp details were not stated in the saved release record. Verify signing and numbering against a documented example of this edition.

Why It Matters

Circle contributes the orbital, cyclical form that recurs across Kai & Sunny's wider catalog to the 2018 deck quartet. Full matched sets of all four are the most desirable configuration, and the eight-color silkscreen on dyed veneer lends the simple geometry a surprising depth across the shared edition of 75.

Collector Perspective

Circle is affordable individually, with the real challenge lying in completing the four-deck set in matching condition. Unridden, sealed decks with clean graphics are preferred given how readily veneer edges and wrap show wear. Confirm consistent edition marking when building the quartet.

Historical Context

The circle motif echoes works like Shifting Circle in the duo's print catalog, and here appears on skate hardware within the 2018 four-deck series. The set typifies Kai & Sunny's habit of translating their imagery into functional editions.
