BE@RBRICK Series Boxes: How the Random Assortment Format Works

Medicom Toy releases numbered BE@RBRICK Series at regular intervals — Series 1 through Series 40+ as of 2025 — each comprising a set of blind-boxed 100% figures across themed categories. Understanding how the series system works is essential context for anyone entering the BE@RBRICK market, even if your primary interest is the larger collaboration formats.

How Series Work

Each series contains 100% (7cm) figures across standardized categories: Basic (solid color), Jellybean (translucent), Flag, Artist, Horror, and SF (science fiction). Each series introduces new designs across these categories. Individual figures are sold blind — you don't know which specific figure you'll receive. Full cases contain a specific assortment designed to provide multiples of common figures and singles of rare ones.

The Secret Figure

Each series includes a "secret" figure not listed on the packaging — typically produced in the smallest quantity of any figure in the series. Secret figures command the highest secondary market prices within a given series, often trading at 5–15x the price of common series figures.

Series as Entry Point

For new BE@RBRICK collectors, series boxes provide an accessible entry into the ecosystem. Individual 100% figures from recent series can be purchased on secondary markets for $20–100, well below the price points for the major collaboration 400% and 1000% formats. Many serious collectors trace their entry point to series collecting before graduating to higher-value collaboration pieces.
