The Work

This letterpress print depicts a figure holding a framed artwork, a quietly self-referential image that turns the act of presenting and possessing art into the subject itself. The letterpress process gives the piece a tactile, impressed quality distinct from Fairey's screen-print output, with the ink pressed into the cream stock for a soft, physical relief.
