Peace and Justice Angel presents one of Shepard Fairey's recurring emblematic figures, a winged bearer of the twin ideals named in the title. Rendered here in a distinctive teal palette, the angel carries the ornamental halo and mandala patterning that Fairey uses to signal something sacred or aspirational. The figure fuses religious iconography with secular political hope, a hallmark of his visual language.

Fairey has long borrowed the compositional grammar of devotional art to lend weight to civic virtues, and the angel motif embodies that strategy. Peace and justice are presented not as abstractions but as a guardian presence, watchful and enduring. The teal coloring gives this version a cooler, more meditative register than his usual reds.
