DEATH NYC

Keith Haring "Dancing Figures" × Louis Vuitton Multicolore

Hand-Signed, Hand-Numbered Limited Edition Pop Art Print — 2024

What You Are Getting

An authentic, hand-signed Death NYC limited edition print combining two of the most recognizable visual languages of the last 40 years — Keith Haring's iconic "Dancing Figures" and Louis Vuitton's multicolore monogram, originally designed by Takashi Murakami. Six of Haring's vibrating, dancing characters are layered over a full-bleed LV monogram field on heavyweight textured fine art paper. Pencil-signed by the artist in the lower right and hand-numbered in the lower left. A high-impact, blue-chip-adjacent piece pulling from three giants of contemporary art and luxury — Haring, Vuitton, and Murakami — in a single sheet.

About the Work

This piece is a triple-reference mashup that compresses three art and design eras into one sheet. The dancing figures are Keith Haring's most enduring motif — first scrawled in NYC subway stations in the early 1980s and now permanent signage of Pop Art, public art, and the AIDS-era visual record. The background is the Louis Vuitton Multicolore Monogram, designed by Takashi Murakami in 2003 for Marc Jacobs — a watershed collaboration that reset how the luxury industry thought about contemporary art partnerships.

Death NYC's contribution is the collision itself: high-low recontextualization, brand-as-canvas, and a deliberate flattening of museum, street, and storefront into a single image. The piece reads as both a tribute to Haring's universal humanism and a wry comment on how that universalism gets sold back to us. It's the kind of work that holds up in a collector's wall, a luxury retail environment, or a contemporary gallery context.

About the Artist

Death NYC is an anonymous New York-based street and pop artist who has been releasing limited edition signed prints since the early 2010s. The work is defined by aggressive appropriation — Haring, Banksy, Basquiat, KAWS, Warhol, Murakami, and luxury houses including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, and Supreme — recombined into single high-density compositions.

Death NYC editions are pencil-signed and hand-numbered, typically in editions of 45 or 100, and have been collected and resold across major secondary markets including Heritage Auctions, Artsy, and 1stDibs. The anonymous-artist mythology, combined with the relentless mashup output, has made Death NYC one of the most recognizable street/pop crossover names of the past decade.
