ORIGINAL DEATH NYC DOLLAR BILL ARTWORK | SIGNED & AUTHENTICATED
What You Are Getting
An original Death NYC dollar bill artwork on a circulated US $1 Federal Reserve Note. The composition features characters from Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) — Yuga Labs' iconic 10,000-PFP NFT collection — overlaid on the bill in dripping black ink against an abstract background of saturated blues, reds, and graffiti scribbles. Web3's most expensive blue-chip JPEG project meets traditional US currency on the same canvas. Death NYC's commentary on the nature of value: a single Bored Ape traded for over $3M ETH at the 2022 peak, while the cotton-linen substrate it's printed on stays at $1. Two assets that exist largely as scarcity claims, frozen together as a single physical object.
The bill is hand-signed and dated 2021 on the reverse by the artist in black marker, and ships with the official Death NYC Certificate of Authenticity card bearing the embossed gold-foil "Death & Co" seal. Each piece is a unique, hand-numbered work — a real piece of US currency transformed into a collectible Death NYC original.

Death NYC's dollar bill series is one of the most coveted entry points into the artist's catalog. Each work begins with a real, circulated US $1 Federal Reserve Note — chosen for both its symbolic weight (the world's reserve currency) and its physical canvas (the cotton-linen blend that resists degradation far better than standard paper). Onto this base, Death NYC overlays mixed-media prints featuring iconic figures, brands, and pop-cultural references, transforming legal tender into a portable critique of celebrity, value, and consumer culture.
Because each bill carries a unique serial number, no two pieces are identical even within the same edition. Every dollar bill artwork is hand-signed and dated on the reverse, and supplied with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity bearing the artist's embossed gold-foil seal — the same authentication standard used across Death NYC's primary market output.
About the Artist
Death NYC is a New York-based pop and street artist whose work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections across Europe, Asia, and North America. Operating in the lineage of Warhol, Banksy, and Mr. Brainwash, the artist mashes up consumer iconography — luxury logos, Disney characters, comic-book heroes, and pop-music idols — into dense, irreverent compositions that interrogate brand worship, mortality, and the commodification of culture. Death NYC's prints, posters, and dollar-bill works are released in tightly controlled limited editions and have become a fixture of contemporary street-art collecting.
