Banksy "Nola" Umbrella Girl × Van Gogh "The Starry Night"
Hand-Signed, Hand-Numbered Limited Edition Pop Art Print — 2025
What You Are Getting
An authentic, hand-signed Death NYC limited edition print combining two of the most-recognized images in modern visual culture — Banksy's "Nola" Umbrella Girl, the silhouetted girl in a black dress holding a black umbrella with rain falling inside the umbrella, and Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night (1889), one of the most-reproduced paintings in art history. The Banksy figure stands in the foreground while Van Gogh's swirling cypress tree and turbulent night sky surround her on all sides. Pencil-signed and hand-numbered on heavyweight textured fine art paper, dated 2025.

Banksy's "Nola" — also known as "Umbrella Girl" — was painted on a wall in New Orleans in 2008, three years after Hurricane Katrina, as a commentary on a city failed by the institutions that were supposed to protect it. The umbrella, which should be sheltering the girl, instead rains down on her. It is one of the most reproduced Banksy images in his catalog. Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night, painted from his asylum room in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in June 1889, is held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and is among the most-recognized paintings in the Western canon.
Death NYC's move is to set Banksy's commentary on institutional failure inside Van Gogh's commentary on private mental anguish — two artists, more than a century apart, both painting versions of "the storm comes from inside." A strong piece for collectors who already own a Banksy reproduction or a Van Gogh print and want a single sheet that argues with both at once.
About the Artist
Death NYC is an anonymous New York-based street and pop artist who has been releasing limited edition signed prints since the early 2010s. The work is defined by aggressive appropriation — Banksy, Van Gogh, Murakami, KAWS, Haring, Basquiat, and luxury houses including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, and Gucci — recombined into single high-density compositions.
Death NYC editions are pencil-signed and hand-numbered, typically in editions of 45 or 100, and have been collected and resold across major secondary markets including Heritage Auctions, Artsy, and 1stDibs.
