Invasion Map Paris v2.0 (#20)
Summary
Invasion Map Paris v2.0 (#20) is a 2011 two-color print on matte 250gsm paper from Space Shop, unfolded, signed, and numbered in an edition of 100 at 70 x 100 cm. It plots roughly 1,000 Paris space invaders across the city.
Why It Matters
Paris is Invader's home city and the origin of his invasion project, making this map the definitive record of his most extensive campaign. Charting around 1,000 mosaics, the large-format v2.0 documents the density of his work in the city where the whole practice began, giving it cornerstone status in the map series.
Collector Perspective
The largest sheet in this map group at 70 x 100 cm, the Paris v2.0 map is a statement piece and arguably the most significant entry for collectors, given its home-city subject. An edition of 100 keeps it scarce; the sheer format demands careful framing, and the flat unfolded signed version is the one to seek.
Historical Context
Released by Space Shop in 2011, this second-version Paris map reflects the growth of Invader's original campaign in the city where he launched it in the late 1990s. Mapping some 1,000 pieces, it stands as the flagship document of the invasion series and its Parisian ground zero.

About the Artist
Invader (born 1969, France) is a pseudonymous French urban artist known for installing mosaic works inspired by 1970s-80s arcade video games, most famously the aliens from Space Invaders. Since the late 1990s he has "invaded" cities worldwide, cementing tile mosaics onto walls and mapping each installation as part of a global game. His studio output extends the pixel aesthetic into prints, "Rubikcubism" works made from Rubik's Cubes, aluminum pieces, and alias-signed editions. He remains anonymous, appearing publicly only masked.
