Invasion Kit #06 (The Runner) (Unsigned)
Summary
Invasion Kit #06 (The Runner) is a 2007 Space Shop release in Invader's build-it-yourself mosaic series, issued in an edition of 150 unsigned at roughly 18 x 20 cm. "The Runner" motif supplies ceramic tiles for the collector to assemble a distinct character, continuing the sequence that translates Invader's street method into a hands-on object.
Why It Matters
As #06, this kit is among the early entries that defined the Invasion Kit format, dating to 2007. "The Runner" adds a dynamic, in-motion character to the catalog, showing Invader's willingness to vary his subjects beyond static invaders while keeping the ceramic-tile mosaic technique consistent across the series.
Collector Perspective
Early-numbered kits like #06 anchor a sequential collection, and completeness across the run drives desirability. The ideal example is unbuilt and complete with original packaging. The unsigned 150 edition is the accessible tier, with a scarcer signed variant. Verify tile completeness and unassembled condition before purchase.
Historical Context
Released in 2007 through the artist's own Space Shop, #06 belongs to the formative stretch of the Invasion Kit series. It reflects Invader's late-2000s move toward self-published collectibles that extended his street project into the hands of collectors without relying on outside gallery distribution.

About the Artist
Invader (born 1969, France) is a pseudonymous French urban artist known for installing mosaic works inspired by 1970s-80s arcade video games, most famously the aliens from Space Invaders. Since the late 1990s he has "invaded" cities worldwide, cementing tile mosaics onto walls and mapping each installation as part of a global game. His studio output extends the pixel aesthetic into prints, "Rubikcubism" works made from Rubik's Cubes, aluminum pieces, and alias-signed editions. He remains anonymous, appearing publicly only masked.

How is an Invader piece authenticated?
We sell Invader works with documented provenance and the edition's signature and numbering. Each piece is photographed exactly as it ships, including signature and edition details, so you can verify before buying.
What drives value?
Medium (unique Rubikcubism and aluminum works over open prints), edition size, iconic imagery, condition, and provenance all shape price. Hand-made and low-numbered pieces command the strongest premiums.
