Sunset (Glow In The Dark)
Summary
Sunset (Glow In The Dark) is a 2018 screenprint in an edition of 100, published through Over The Influence at 16.5 x 16.5 inches. Rendered in blue and white with a glow-in-the-dark treatment, it activates in low light, adding a time-of-day dimension that literally transforms the image between day and night viewing.
Why It Matters
The glow-in-the-dark ink is the defining feature, giving the print two distinct visual states and connecting to Invader's interest in how his works exist in changing urban conditions. At an edition of 100 in a compact square format, it appeals to collectors drawn to novelty printing techniques executed within his disciplined pixel grid.
Collector Perspective
Glow-in-the-dark editions carry particular appeal for their interactive, dual-state quality, and collectors weigh the durability of the luminescent ink over time. With a run of 100 and a small 16.5-inch square footprint, Sunset is both limited and easy to display. The Over The Influence provenance provides a clean 2018 publication record.
Historical Context
Invader's practice has always attended to light and visibility, from tile placement in shadowed corners to the reflective and luminous surfaces of his editions. The 2018 glow-in-the-dark Sunset extends this concern into the print medium, using Over The Influence's platform to distribute a technically distinctive work during a productive editioning period.

About the Artist
Invader (born 1969, France) is a pseudonymous French urban artist known for installing mosaic works inspired by 1970s-80s arcade video games, most famously the aliens from Space Invaders. Since the late 1990s he has "invaded" cities worldwide, cementing tile mosaics onto walls and mapping each installation as part of a global game. His studio output extends the pixel aesthetic into prints, "Rubikcubism" works made from Rubik's Cubes, aluminum pieces, and alias-signed editions. He remains anonymous, appearing publicly only masked.

We sell Invader works with documented provenance and the edition's signature and numbering. Each piece is photographed exactly as it ships, including signature and edition details, so you can verify before buying.
What drives value?
